Aboriginal cultural heritage
ANSTO recognises the traditional indigenous owners of the land at all its sites and works to contribute to the recognition of the indigenous cultural heritage of Australia.

Environmental Protection
ANSTO is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its activities and to implementing strategies which have a positive effect on the environment. The ANSTO Work Health Safety and Executive Committee oversees this process.

Deaf Youth Science Camp
The 2025 Deaf Youth Science Camp is a chance for Deaf/hard-of-hearing young people (aged 12-17 years old) to participate in an immersive science experience. At the camp, participants will do hands-on science activities, go on tours of different science facilities, and meet Deaf STEM professionals. The camp is also an opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills as well as enhance friendship networks.

Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS )/ Wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS)
The SAXS / WAXS beamline at the Australian Synchrotron is a highly flexible x-ray scattering facility with purpose-built optics and a very flexible endstation and SAXS camera enable multiple types of experiments.
