This is an interactive, fast-paced and fun robotics workshop aimed at kids who have some experience in coding.
About this event
This is an interactive, fast-paced and fun robotics workshop aimed at kids who have some experience in coding. The challenges presented are designed to introduce kids to basic robotic and engineering concepts and form the foundation for entry into events such as First Lego League.
Cost : $ 75
In this full day workshop, kids will start off with the base kit and learn to master movement and control before learning about the various sensors and how they can be used to seek out opponents, deter advancing enemies and remain undefeated on the battle field. The day will culminate in a sumo battle, where kids will pit their wits against an opponent and battle for a position in our sumo bot wars.
All workshops are delivered by accredited educators with experience in science, engineering, programming and robotics.
The recommended minimum age is 9 years. Younger children are encouraged to consider the other robotics workshops suitable for their age. Please call the Discovery Centre on 9717 3090 if you have questions on suitability.
Please bring food, drinks and a hat for morning tea and lunch breaks. Workshops starts at 9:30 please arrive at 9:15 at the ANSTO Discovery Centre.
