Mitchell Timpano

Mitchell Timpano is a Radioactive Waste Supervisor leading the decontamination team in ANSTO’s Waste Management Services. His team is responsible for the handling and decontamination of materials and legacy waste at ANSTO, providing services and advice to all operational areas including Nuclear Medicine, Decommissioning and ANSTO Engineering.

With over 15 years’ experience with radioactive materials, Mitchell is an expert in the handling and decontamination of operational, decommissioning, and legacy wastes. His team provide a vital link in the safe handling of contaminated materials from nuclear medicine production, as well as advising with process design and decommissioning planning.
