Role at ANSTO

Dr Ravishankar Subbaramaiah is a structural modeller in NFC’s research group. He investigates welding processes using numerical simulations by considering the thermo-metallurgical and thermo-mechanical behaviour. His current work focuses on weld induced distortion in stiffened panels. He joined ANSTO in 2021 after having worked as structural analyst in cryogenic, composite, and automotive sectors. He completed his PhD in mechanical engineering from UNSW in 2018.
