Work on materials for sodium-ion batteries, using our ECHIDNA high-resolution powder diffractometer, by Max Avdeev and collaborators from the Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics, has appeared online in the prestigious open-access journal Nature Communications.
Crystal structure of P2-Na0.6[Cr0.6Ti0.4]O2 based on the Echidna neutron diffraction data. The figure on the right shows the discovered disordered arrangement of Na+ ions essential for the material outstanding electrochemical properties. |
