ANSTO, in partnership with AINSE and others, actively works to develop and nurture the next generation of leaders in Australian science and industry.
We’re pleased to announce the bi-annual ANSTO Graduate Development Program and two scholarship programs are now currently calling for applications.
Graduate Institute Industry Foundations Scholarship
Applications are open until 17 July.
As part of an NSW government funding scheme designed to establish a Graduate Institute 'Industry Foundations Program,' ANSTO awards a minimum of five scholarships for graduate students or early career researchers working on industry-focused translational research projects aligned with ANSTO strategic objectives.
Program offering:
- An ANSTO supervisor
- The opportunity to access ANSTO’s landmark infrastructure and facilities
- Training and development in:
- Business modelling
- Supply chain optimisation
- Funding and finance management
- Marketing
- Leadership skills
- Intellectual Property protection
- Join the ANSTO Innovation Precinct and ANSTO Graduate communities
- A top-up stipend of $7,500 and approved research, conference, travel and accommodation support of up to $10,000 per year
All projects that receive an Industry Foundations scholarship must have industry support. The nature of the support could include cash or in-kind contributions as well as an indication by the industry partner that the project is a useful undertaking.
AINSE Residential Student Scholarship
Expressions of interest are open until 31 May.
Program offering:
- An ANSTO co-supervisor
- Become a part of the AINSE network of hundreds of STEM students across 40 universities in Australia and New Zealand
- An invitation to the AINSE post-graduate orientation week, site-specific induction working with students and ANSTO researchers
- The opportunity to access ANSTO’s landmark infrastructure and facilities
- An annual stipend of $7,500 stipend and up to $5,000 travel and accommodation allowance
ANSTO Graduate Development Program
ANSTO also offers a Graduate Development Program, which aims to develop and nurture the next generation of Australian science and industry leaders.
The Program provides postgraduate students with a two-year rotation program tailored to match the talents, goals and interests of the candidates.
