Federal Minister for Industry, the Hon. Ian Macfarlane, has announced the appointment of Ms Penny Dobson to the ANSTO Board.
“Ms Dobson will bring a wealth of international experience in the healthcare sector to the ANSTO Board,” Mr Macfarlane said.
Penny Dobson has worked as a global executive in the healthcare sector for 35 years in Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the United States. She is a former Vice President and Head of Marketing of a Japanese subsidiary of Merck and Co Inc, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
Ms Dobson’s business acumen and international marketing experience will provide invaluable expertise to ANSTO, at a time when the ANM facility aims to be a key player in the global fight against cancer and heart disease, locally and internationally.
Ms Dobson is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University and a Dip of Pharmacy from New Zealand. She is a registered Pharmacist in Australia and NZ.
