PhD student Linh Tran from ANSTO has won an Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) Postgraduate Award.
The Royal Society awarded Linh the prestigious Jak Kelly Prize for excellence in research on ‘Silicon Detectors for Microdosimetry in Heavy Ion Therapy’. Linh also received a $500 cash prize in a ceremony Tuesday night.
The Postgraduate Awards day is held annually by the NSW AIP Branch and was created to encourage excellence in postgraduate work.
All nominees who participated in the Postgraduate Awards Day received a special certificate recognising their high standing.
Congratulations to Linh and her mentors from the Centre for Medical Radiation Physics (CMRP) and ANSTO.
