Nathan Mackay

Nathan is the Sustainability Manager at ANSTO where his role incorporates environmental, financial, and social sustainability for the future. He tackles key areas such as renewable energy, waste reduction, recycling, stormwater and recycled water, resource efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure. He has a degree from ANU in environmental science with a focus on land and water management, geography, and stakeholder engagement. He previously worked at the Department of Defence in their Environment & Sustainability team and has experience in integrating heritage and cultural elements into sustainability practice.
